How to Play Squid Game Memory Card Match

Every round starts with a grid of identical green card backs. Click one to turn it over, then click a second card. If the two faces match — the same pink-suited guard, the same green-tracksuit character, the same symbol card — the pair stays revealed and your Matches counter ticks up. If they don't match, both flip back and you try again from memory.

The counter at the bottom right shows how many pairs the layout needs, so a six-card board wants 3 matches while a larger grid wants more. The timer in the bottom left counts down the whole time, and the Turns counter records every flip attempt you make, so tidy play shows up in your numbers.

Two helpers sit on the bottom bar: an extra-time button that adds 30 seconds to the clock, and a Hint button. Clear all pairs before time runs out and the round ends on a confetti-covered congratulations screen.

Tips

1. Flip cards in a fixed order — left to right, row by row — so the positions you have already seen are easier to recall.
2. The character cards have strong colours (black guard, pink guard, green tracksuit), so use colour as your first memory cue before checking the exact figure.
3. Watch the Turns counter: each mismatch adds a turn, and fewer wasted flips means more clock left for the bigger grids.
4. Save the +30 seconds button until the timer is genuinely low rather than spending it at the start of a round.
5. Hold the hint in reserve for the last stubborn pair, when guessing would cost you the most time.
