How to Play Poke the Buddy
Each stage puts the blond cartoon man on the left and the buddy somewhere to the right, usually perched on a platform or behind a wall of crates. Moving the mouse pulls the nose forward, and it leaves a long pink trail behind it — the nose does not reset, so every wrong turn stays on screen as a tangle you have to work around.
Between you and the target sit obstacles: stacked wooden blocks, rows of blue spikes, narrow ledges and a swinging wrecking ball on a chain. Touching them costs you the attempt, so the route matters more than speed. Often the only way through is to loop the nose under a platform, thread a gap, then curve back up.
When the tip lands on the buddy, you poke him and the stage is done. A restart button sits in the top-right corner for when the nose gets hopelessly knotted, next to the sound toggle and the home button.
Tips
- Look at the whole stage before you move — the nose keeps the path you drew, so a stray loop can block the gap you needed later.
- Hug the floor when crates are stacked above you, then rise only once you are past the tower.
- Time your approach to the swinging wrecking ball so the nose crosses its arc while the ball is on the far side.
- Spike strips are unforgiving; go under or over them rather than trying to squeeze along their edge.
- If the trail has boxed you in, hit restart straight away instead of hunting for a way out.
- Small, slow mouse movements give tighter curves than sweeping ones, which helps in narrow gaps between platforms.
