How to Play Rolling Balls 3D
The camera sits behind the ball as it rolls forward along a plank track edged with red-and-white striped rails. You steer with WASD, nudging the ball left and right to line up with gaps between the obstacles ahead. Clusters of white-and-blue cubes sit on the lane from level 2 onward, and the source instructions are blunt about them: stay out of their way.
Coins are laid out along the track and feed a counter in the top-right corner, which carried over between levels in our run — it read 6 on level 1 and climbed past 20 by level 3. Grabbing them means drifting off the straight line, so you're constantly choosing between the safest path and the richer one.
Each stage ends at a tall red torii gate with a chequered strip in front of it. Pass through and the LEVEL number at the top of the screen ticks up, the layout changes, and you start the next run. The game is built around speed and reaction, so the pressure comes from reading obstacles late and adjusting quickly.
Tips
- Look at the far end of the lane rather than at your ball — the cube clusters come up fast and late steering costs you.
- Only chase coins you can reach without cutting through a cube cluster; the counter carries over, so a clean run still adds up.
- Make small, repeated taps to line up with a gap instead of one long hold, which makes the ball easier to place on a narrow lane.
- Treat the chequered strip before the torii gate as your finish marker and stop swerving once it's in view.
