How to Play Halloween Island Running
The camera sits behind your character as they run forward along a worn dirt path lined with trees, rocks and wooden huts. You don't control the running itself — your job is reacting to what appears ahead. Wooden signboards pop up during the opening stretch to teach the moves: swipe up to jump over low obstacles, swipe down to pass under high ones. The same moves are available on the arrow keys.
Across the top of the screen sit counters for pineapples and crates, plus coins and gems on the right, so pickups scattered on the track are worth steering toward as you run. A pause button in the top-left corner stops the action. The goal is simple: keep avoiding whatever blocks the path and don't end up as the islanders' Halloween dinner.
Tips
- Read the wooden signs in the opening stretch — they spell out which swipe handles which obstacle type before the track gets busy.
- Up and down do opposite jobs: jump the low stuff, duck the tall stuff. Getting them mixed up is the most common early mistake.
- Watch the counters at the top for pineapples, crates, coins and gems, and line yourself up with pickups while the path ahead is clear.
