How to Play Pokemon GO Pikachu
Each level shows a purple checkerboard with one or more Pokemon, faded ghost markers showing where they belong, and Poke Balls scattered across the squares. Click a Pokemon and arrows appear on the neighbouring tiles — up, down, left and right. Slide it in the direction you want and it travels across the board.
When a Pokemon lands on its mapped position, the square lights up to confirm it. Pick up Poke Balls with the same movement, since the three Poke Ball icons at the top of the HUD track how cleanly you finished. The counter beside them reads your moves against the target for the level, so overshooting (for example 3/2) means you took more slides than the level's par.
Levels are numbered and get more complex as you go, introducing more Pokemon whose movement you have to plan around each other. The intro tutorial starts you with the Fire-type Chimchar to teach the four-direction slide before the boards open up.
Tips
- Work out the full route before your first click — the move counter compares your slides to the level's target, and extra moves cost you Poke Ball icons.
- Plan your path so it passes over Poke Balls instead of detouring for them afterwards.
- Watch the faded ghost figures on the board: those are the mapped positions, and a square glows once the right Pokemon sits on it.
- Place the Pokemon that has the most blocked route first, so it isn't stuck behind one you've already parked.
