How to Play Balloons and scissors
Each level lays out balloons in the pale blue sky, with scissors parked next to them — some to the left of a row, some above a column. Clicking a pair of scissors releases it so it travels along its track, snipping the balloon strings in its path. The aim is to pop the balloons, matching them by color as the layouts demand.
The opening levels are small: a short vertical string of green and yellow balloons with only a couple of scissors available. Later boards spread out into wide grids — rows of blue and red balloons with green ones mixed in, then four-by-four blocks in green, yellow, purple, blue and red, with scissors waiting on both the left edge and the top. Because every pair of scissors only cuts along its own line, order matters: the wrong first click can leave balloons stranded with no scissors left pointing at them.
There are a fixed number of levels, and each one gets harder than the last, so precision counts as much as planning.
Tips
- Look at where every pair of scissors is pointing before your first click — each one only cuts along its own row or column.
- On grid levels, count how many scissors you have against how many lines of balloons need clearing; some rows may need to be hit in a specific order.
- Colors matter, so check which balloons share a color before deciding which line to cut first.
- If a board goes wrong, use the restart button in the top-left corner rather than clicking hopefully.
- Start with the outer edges on the wide levels — the left-side scissors sweep whole rows, which can simplify what's left for the top ones.
