Drive out onto the road and start throwing the car sideways. Every slide you hold feeds a points counter in the middle of the screen, and a drift bonus multiplier above it climbs as you keep the car sliding — the frames show it rising from 3x to 10x while tyre smoke pours out behind the rear wheels. Points from the run get added to your current score and total score in the top-right corner.
A clock in the top-left counts down, so the run is about how much you can bank in the time you have. The handbrake on spacebar is the quickest way to break traction into a corner; steering with W, A, S, D or the arrow keys keeps the angle going once the back end steps out.
