How to Play Drift Fury
You start on a road course that winds past hillsides, pine trees and a large stone building, with a rival car ahead of you. The HUD tracks your current position (2nd, 1st), lap progress such as 1/2 Lap, the level number and an elapsed timer, so you always know how much race is left.
Steering is handled with WASD or the arrow keys. Tap the handbrake with the spacebar to break traction and swing the back end around tight bends — the frames show smoke pouring off the rear tyres as the car slides. Left Shift feeds nitro, tracked by a boost bar under the car, which is best spent on the long straights where the speedometer climbs past 80 km/h. Press C to switch camera view if you prefer a different angle on the track. Clear the final lap in front to take the win.
Tips
- Tap the handbrake just before a corner rather than mid-turn, so the slide lines up with the exit.
- Save nitro for the straights after a bend — burning it into a corner just pushes you wide over the kerbs.
- Watch the minimap in the top-left: it previews the shape of the next corner before you can see it.
- Use the kerbs as a braking marker; the red-and-white strips mark where the tight bends begin.
- Check the lap counter — if you're still 2nd going into the final lap, that's when to spend the rest of the boost bar.
