How to Play GT Formula Championship

Each race starts with five cars on the grid — your driver, listed as Player 1, plus AI rivals named Alex, David, Harry and Jack. The panel on the right shows the running order and updates the moment you pass someone, so you can see exactly how far you have climbed.

Steering and acceleration are handled with the arrow keys. The top-left readout tracks your position out of five and your lap out of three, while the analogue dial below shows RPM, current speed in km and the gear you are in — gear three at around 87 to 100 km in the frames above.

The circuit mixes long straights under an overhead bridge with tightening bends lined by red-and-white kerbs and grass run-off. Cutting onto the grass costs grip and time, so the racing line matters. Hold speed through the fast sections, brake before the corners, and use the three laps to work your way up to first place.

Tips

  1. Watch the position panel on the right rather than just the cars ahead — it tells you instantly whether an overtake stuck.
  2. Keep all four wheels on the tarmac; the grass and kerbs at the edge of the track will slow you before the next straight.
  3. Use the long straight under the bridge to close the gap, then set up your pass into the following corner.
  4. Glance at the gear and RPM dial: short-shifting out of a slow bend keeps the car settled better than flooring it.
  5. With only three laps, an early mistake is costly — build your lead in lap one instead of waiting for the finish.
