How to Play Real Flight Simulator
You start on the runway in a chase view behind the aircraft, with on-screen buttons around the edges of the screen and a short prompt explaining that swiping up lifts the nose and swiping down drops it. Build speed along the tarmac first — the readout at the top counts in km/h — then pull up once you have enough of it to leave the ground.
The HUD keeps things simple: Height in feet and Speed in km/h sit across the top, a Goals counter and a countdown timer sit in the top-left corner, and a small radar display sits top-right. Once airborne you climb away over green valleys, forested slopes and mountain ridges, watching the height figure rise while you keep the wings pointed where you want to go.
Six levels cover starting, steering and landing, and different aircraft are available — the pricier the plane, the stronger its acceleration, along with differences in power, speed and braking.
Tips
- Watch the speed readout on the runway before you try to lift off — pulling up at low speed leaves you scraping along the ground.
- Use the height number in feet as your main reference when climbing; the chase camera makes it hard to judge your altitude over rising terrain.
- The mountains and forested slopes in the level sit higher than the runway, so keep climbing after take-off instead of levelling out straight away.
- Keep an eye on the countdown timer in the top-left — each run is on the clock.
- Work through the earlier levels to get used to steering before taking on landings, since the game teaches those skills in order.
