How to Play Formula Go
You steer with a single input — click or tap and hold to guide the car. The camera looks straight down at the track, so you can read the next corner well before you reach it: wide sweepers with red-and-white kerbs, tight hairpins, and long straights running under gantry bridges.
The HUD keeps things readable. A position counter shows where you sit in the field of twelve, while a gear number and a speed readout in mph sit just below it. Climbing through the gears on the straights pushes the speed past 270, which is exactly where the following corner punishes a late turn-in.
Traffic is the real challenge. Rivals in green, yellow and purple cars defend their line, and running up too tight behind one triggers a "TOO CLOSE!" warning on screen. Back off a fraction, place your car on the clean side of the track, and take the pass where the road opens up rather than in the middle of a bend.
Tips
- Watch the position counter in the corner: knowing you are 12/12 tells you how many passes you still need before the finish.
- Straights under the bridge gantries are where the gear number climbs and speed tops out — get your line sorted before you enter them, not during.
- When the "TOO CLOSE!" warning appears, ease off instead of forcing the move; the car ahead is on the defensive line.
- Red-and-white kerbs mark the edge of the racing surface — use them to judge how much room you have on a wide sweeper before the barrier.
