How to Play Taxi Driver Las Vegas
Pick up a waiting passenger, then read the directions and drive to the drop-off address. The city is open, so part of the job is learning which streets connect and where the addresses sit — the frames show wide boulevards, an elevated freeway section, palm-lined seafront roads and a downtown strip with lit-up hotel facades.
Driving uses WASD, with the mouse moving the camera and C switching the view. The HUD keeps a large speedometer on the left, reading in KMH, and a second dial with a numeric counter on the right, so you can watch how fast you are travelling as you brake for junctions and the small yellow markers set along the road.
Alongside the taxi objectives there is an open mode, which lets you skip the jobs and drive around the whole map at your own pace.
Tips
- Watch the KMH speedometer on the left before a turn — the frames show the car running close to 90 on straight roads, which is a lot of speed to carry into a junction.
- Use open mode first to learn the layout: the freeway, the seafront road and the downtown blocks all look similar at speed, and knowing the connections makes finding an address faster.
- Follow the on-screen directions rather than guessing a shortcut; addresses are spread across the map, so a wrong turn means backtracking.
- Try C early so you already know which camera view you prefer before a passenger is waiting.
