Your hand sits along the bottom of the screen as a fan of colored cards, and David's row sits along the top. The card currently in play sits in the center, next to small diamond markers showing the active color. Click or tap a card from your hand that works against what is showing, and it moves onto the center pile.
Beyond plain numbers, the deck holds function cards. The ⊘ skip card and the +2 card, which adds cards to your opponent's side, both appear in the hands shown on screen, and the multicolored wild card lets you set the color the game continues in. Playing these at the right moment is how you slow David down while your own hand keeps shrinking.
