How to Play Hide Heist

You move one thief at a time and tap the character portraits in the bottom-right corner to switch between them. The camera looks down on the level from above, so you can see rooms, corridors and doorways laid out around you before you commit to a route.

Context prompts appear as you get close to things that matter. A green ring with "PICK" shows up next to a lock or door the smart thief can work on, while "HIDE" marks a spot you can duck into to stay out of sight. Tools are highlighted with circles on the floor and in the HUD — a crowbar and a slim lockpick — so you can tell which of your two characters is the right one for the obstacle in front of you.

Picking locks, hacking systems, dealing with guards and breaking through barriers are split between the two thieves, so progress means reading each room and sending in the one whose ability fits. Levels are numbered, with the current one shown at the top of the screen.

Tips

  1. Check the on-screen prompt before acting: "PICK" means a lock the smart thief can handle, not a job for brute force.
  2. Watch the highlighted circles on the floor — they point out tools like the crowbar and lockpick.
  3. Use the marked "HIDE" spots when you need to break line of sight instead of running past an open room.
  4. The top-down camera shows more of the floor plan than the character can see, so scan the layout before you move.
