How to Play Medieval Battle 2P
Setup comes first. Banners across the top of the screen show the available soldier types — heavy, archer and spearman — each with its own stats and gold price. Your gold counter sits in the corner and drops every time you place a unit, so a 1000-gold purse can become 600 after a handful of troops. Left-click to drop soldiers onto the ground; the buttons at the lower right let you delete a single unit, clear the whole arrangement or start the fight.
Move the camera with W, A, S and D and swing the view around with right-click so you can check your formation from the side before committing. Press X to remove soldiers and hold CTRL to place them neatly.
Hit Start and control passes to the armies. The two sides charge, arrows fly and small health bars flicker over individual fighters while a team bar at the top tracks how each army is holding up. A speed readout is shown during the battle. Whichever formation survives wins the field.
Tips
- Check each banner's cost against your gold before you buy: a screen full of cheap troops and a small elite line are very different armies.
- Use right-click camera rotation to view your formation from a second angle — gaps in a line are easier to spot from the side.
- Hold CTRL while dropping soldiers to keep ranks tidy instead of leaving units scattered.
- If a placement goes wrong, X removes single soldiers and Clear wipes the board so you can rebuild without wasting your setup time.
- Mix the roles — archers, spearmen and heavy units each carry different stats on their banner, so a one-type army gives the enemy an easy answer.
