How to Play Merge the Coins: USSR!

Coins arrive one at a time at the top of the wooden board. You choose where along the top to let each one go, then it falls and settles among the coins already lying at the bottom. Two coins of the same type that meet fuse into a single bigger coin — a kopeck pair becomes a heavier piece, and so on up the denominations.

The score and record counters sit above the board and climb as merges happen. The distributor notes that the early going is easy and the board gets busier as more coins pile up, so placement matters more the longer you last. Building all the way to the largest coin in the game removes it from the board and awards the biggest points of all.

The board is narrow and framed in wood, with a dashed marker line across the upper area and a mute button and share button on screen.

Tips

  1. Keep matching denominations near each other instead of spreading them across the board — stray singles are hard to pair later.
  2. Small coins take several fusions to grow, so plan a corner where you can feed a chain of kopecks upward.
  3. The biggest coin disappears once you make it and pays out the most, so building toward it clears space as well as scoring.
  4. Drops are physics-driven: coins roll after landing, so aim slightly off-centre when you want one to slide into a waiting twin.
