How to Play Water Pipe
Every board shows a grid of grey tiles with pipe pieces scattered across it. Two fixed pipes sit outside the grid — one entering from the left, one leaving on the right, both marked with green arrows showing the direction of flow. Your job is to turn the loose pieces so their openings line up into a single continuous route between those two points.
Click or tap a piece to rotate it a quarter turn. Elbows bend the path up, down or sideways; straight sections carry it across a tile. Some layouts run as a neat diagonal staircase of elbows, while later boards fill nearly the whole grid and snake back and forth row by row, so more pieces need turning and the route is longer. A number sits at the top of the screen alongside a SPEED UP button and a menu icon. Complete the link before the level's time runs out to clear it and move on — the game ships with a long run of levels.
Tips
- Work from one of the fixed outside pipes inward. Because both the inlet and outlet are locked in place, the tiles next to them only have one workable orientation, which removes guesswork.
- Read the shape of the scatter before touching anything. A diagonal spread of elbows usually means a staircase route; pieces packed into full rows usually mean a snaking path that doubles back.
- Straight sections are the cheapest clue — they can only lie horizontally or vertically, so they tell you instantly which way the line must travel through that tile.
- Levels are timed, so avoid spinning a piece through several turns while you think. Decide the direction you need first, then click.
