How to Play Grimace Night
You control the round purple character with the arrow buttons along the bottom of the screen: left and right to walk, the up arrow to hop. The goal in every stage is the yellow key floating somewhere out of easy reach, then the burning exit that finishes the level.
Crates are the puzzle. You can only push them, never pull, so shoving a box into the wrong corner can cost you the route — the circular arrow button resets the stage when that happens. Stack and line them up so you can climb to ledges and reach the key.
Later stages add coloured auras. Touching a blue aura makes the blue-marked crates vanish, which can clear a path or drop you down a level, while a purple aura marks a crate you are meant to stand beneath. Spikes overhead and flames on the ground mean the safe line is often a single crate wide.
Tips
- Look at where the key sits before you touch a crate — pushing one past the spot you needed it usually means restarting.
- Crates can only be pushed, so approach a box from the side that sends it toward the wall or ledge you want to climb.
- Blue auras remove the blue-dotted crates, so check what you are standing on before you run through one.
- When a crate carries a purple aura, position yourself directly under it rather than trying to climb past.
- Hitting the restart arrow early is cheaper than trying to fix a stuck stack.
