Each character moves and jumps on its own set of keys, so one person can play both hands or two people can share the keyboard. The forest levels are built in stacked layers of grass-topped earth, with gaps between platforms and colored blocks and beams sitting in the path.
Gems float above and between the platforms in two colors, and the counters in the top-left corner track red and blue pickups separately — the red character takes the red gems, the blue character takes the blue ones. The two doors set into the wall are also color-coded, one blue and one red, and the run ends when each character reaches the door that matches it.
Jumping across the layered ledges is the main challenge: platforms sit at different heights, drops lead to lower ground, and the two characters often have to split up to reach gems on opposite sides before regrouping at the exit.
