How to Play Sumo.io
You control a single sumo on a circular dohyo surrounded by water. Arrow keys push him around the platform, and contact does the work — run into another wrestler and the collision shoves both of you, so the fight is about angles and momentum rather than button combos. Anyone who slides past the red-striped edge and into the sea is out.
Food items sit on and around the ring — rice balls and sushi that your sumo picks up. The in-game tutorial scroll shows these being eaten and the wrestler growing larger, and it also shows a charging dash that costs twice as much as a normal move, so your supply is a resource to spend rather than hoard.
A TEACH ME button on the arena screen opens that illustrated guide at any time, so you can check the movement and charge diagrams mid-session.
