How to Play Among Us.io

Click and drag the mouse to guide your crewmate. A yellow control circle sits under the cursor, and the camera follows you from a tilted overhead angle as you move between beds, crates and pathways. Food items sit inside green rings scattered across the floor — touch one and your score number above your head ticks up by one while a new mini-crewmate joins the group behind you.

The number under your name is your crowd size, and the leaderboard in the top-left corner ranks every player in the round by that same figure. Coloured arrow markers around the edge of the screen point toward other players, so you can tell who is nearby before you commit. Charge a rival with a lower number and their crowd transfers to you; stay away from anyone bigger.

A countdown timer runs in the top-right corner, so the round has a fixed length — the goal is to have the largest crowd when it ends. Power-ups are also in play, including a speed increase and one that doubles your crowd.

Tips

1. Watch the number floating over other players before you approach — it is their crowd size, and anything higher than yours will take your followers instead.
2. Use the coloured arrows at the screen edges to track off-screen rivals and decide which direction is safe to farm in.
3. Early on, stick to clusters of food rings rather than hunting players; a couple of pickups is the difference between eating and being eaten.
4. Keep an eye on the leaderboard to see how far you are from the top and how much time is left to close the gap.
5. Grab the speed power-up when you are chasing a slightly smaller crowd, and save the crowd-doubling one for when you are about to contest a bigger player.
