How to Play Snake Wars
You start small — the frames show a score of 9 and last place on the board — and the only way up is to keep eating. Coloured pellets sit all over the stone floor; every one you swallow pops a "+1" above your head, adds a segment to your tail and nudges your name up the leaderboard.
Steering follows your cursor, so your snake curves constantly rather than turning in sharp right angles. That makes head-on traffic the real danger: touching another snake's body ends your run, while bigger serpents feed on smaller ones. The minimap in the top-left corner shows your white dot plus red dots for rivals, which is the easiest way to spot a crowded area before you slither into it.
A timer counts down at the top of the screen (02:12 in the first frame, 01:34 later), so a round is a race to grow as much as possible before it runs out. Use the boost to close gaps or escape a squeeze, and watch the boost icon in the bottom-right corner.
Tips
- Check the minimap before committing to a direction — red dots mark rival snakes, and open corners are safer feeding grounds.
- Chase the loose pellets near your head instead of long detours; the round is on a countdown, so wasted travel is wasted score.
- Curve wide around bigger snakes. Your turning arc is smooth, not instant, so start the turn early rather than at the last moment.
- Save boost for escaping a snake that is cutting across your path, not for sprinting into busy areas.
- Watch the leaderboard numbers to see how many pellets separate you from the next name up — it tells you how aggressive you need to be.
