Inky Snakes drops your marker-drawn snake onto a sheet of grid paper where every other worm is competition. One rule runs the whole game: eat to grow. You steer a bright pink snake with googly eyes, hoover up coloured dots, and try to out-length the ten names on the leaderboard. It plays free in your browser on desktop and mobile, with nothing to download.

How to Play Inky Snakes
Your snake moves forward on its own — you only choose the direction. Steer toward the small coloured dots scattered over the grid; each one adds to your weight, shown in grams beside your name on the leaderboard in the top right. The frames show a run climbing from 65g to 117g as the snake keeps feeding.
The arena is shared with rival snakes drawn in the same crayon-and-paper style: brown squiggles, blue worms, green caterpillars, other long pink bodies. Growing bigger means eating others, so the space around a large opponent is where runs end. A small map panel in the bottom-left corner tracks the field with red and green markers, useful for reading where the crowd is before you commit to a direction.
Stars and other loose shapes sit on the paper as scenery landmarks. Keep circling open squares of the grid, top up on dots, and push your gram count above the number in first place.
Tips
- Watch the gram totals on the leaderboard to see whether the snake near you is bigger or smaller than you are.
- Use the mini-map in the bottom-left to spot clusters of players before you steer into them.
- Loose dots in empty grid areas are safer pickups than the ones sitting beside a long rival body.
- Pick a snake skin you can track easily — the pink marker body stands out against the white paper background.
