Type a name on the title screen, or open the customise menu to change your character's colours and hats, then hit Play. You spawn in a flat, grid-textured arena littered with small gems in red, green, blue, cyan, purple and orange. Your character follows the mouse cursor, so you steer by moving the pointer where you want to go; the number under your name is your current size, and it climbs each time you pick up a gem.
Growth is the whole point. Bigger means you can hunt players smaller than you, while anyone larger than you is a threat to avoid. Clicking gives a boost, which is how you close the gap on a fleeing rival or pull away from one chasing you. Gem clusters are the safest way to build size early, so sweep an empty stretch of the grid before picking fights.
Tips
- Watch the number under each player's name — it tells you at a glance who you can eat and who you should run from.
- Hoover up loose gems in quiet corners of the grid first; early size is cheap there and nobody contests it.
- Save your boost. Clicking to sprint is most useful for the final gap when chasing a smaller player, or for breaking away from a bigger one.
