How to Play Super Mario Run 2
Your runner moves right without any input from you, so the whole game is about when you press. One click or tap lifts him off the ground — over green pipes, up onto brick platforms, and across the glowing lava strip that runs along the bottom of the stage. The gameplay frames show World 2, a purple crystal cavern where big metal saw blades hang in the air and rotate in your path.
Coins are laid out in arcs and lines that mark the route a good jump takes, and the counter under the score tracks how many you have banked. Score climbs as you keep moving forward. Touch a saw blade or drop into the lava and a Game Over card appears with your score, your best score and your coin total, plus a red restart button to go straight back in. Coins carry into the shop, where you can buy extra characters to run with.
Tips
- Jump early rather than late — the runner never stops, so a press made a moment too soon still clears a pipe, while a late one lands you in the blade.
- Follow the coin trails. The arcs of coins above the bricks show roughly where a well-timed jump carries you.
- Watch pairs of saw blades set at different heights; pick the gap before you reach it instead of reacting when you are under them.
- The lava line runs the full width of the floor, so treat every missed platform landing as a lost run and aim for the brick tops.
- Bank coins across several runs and spend them in the shop on a new character.
