How to Play Stellar Bastion

Hold down anywhere on screen and your gunner walks toward the pointer; the gun picks its own target and keeps shooting. That means every choice is a movement choice — drifting away from a cluster of bugs, kiting a group around the deck, or backing off when the pink targeting ring fills with enemies closing in.

Waves step up on a short timer, and every fifth wave brings in a HIVE KING whose aura speeds up the bugs around it. The HUD banner announces it, so you get a moment to reposition before the swarm accelerates.

Dead bugs drop weapons on the floor — MG, SG and RPG pickups with limited ammo, shown in the slot bar at the bottom right with the rounds you have left. Your MK-1 sidearm has infinite ammo as a fallback. Levelling up deals you three perk cards from a pool of 22, such as Reactive Plate for flat damage reduction, Firepower for extra weapon damage, or Field Repair to restore health, and the fight never pauses while you choose. When you want to keep what you earned, hit END to bank the score.

Tips

Aiming is automatic, so treat the game as a movement puzzle — keep walking so the swarm trails behind you instead of surrounding you.
Save the limited MG, SG and RPG ammo for dense packs or a HIVE KING; the MK-1 never runs out for stragglers.
Every fifth wave brings a HIVE KING that speeds up nearby bugs — clear space before the banner appears.
Take Field Repair when your HP bar is low rather than hoarding it, since the fight continues while the perk cards are on screen.
Use the Shift roll to break out of a closing ring instead of trying to walk through it.
Hit END to bank your score if a wave is about to overwhelm you.
