How to Play Special Strike Zombies
You start in a walled yard with a farmhouse, stacked barrels and crates, holding an assault rifle at the bottom of the screen. The HUD tracks the current wave, level, a countdown timer, your health and your ammo — the counter shows the magazine loaded versus your reserve, so 30 / 999 means a full clip and plenty spare.
Move with WASD, aim with the mouse and fire with the left button. Zombies sprint at you across the open ground, and mercenaries with guns show up too, so you take damage from range as well as in melee — health drops fast once several enemies close in. Reload with R before a group reaches you, and use the mouse wheel to swap to a weapon that suits the wave. Jump and crouch help you use the barrels, crates and building walls as cover while you thin out the horde and survive to the end of the level.
Tips
- Watch the magazine number, not the reserve — dropping to 1 / 969 mid-wave means you are one shot from a forced reload.
- Reload with R during gaps between zombies rather than when three are already swinging at you.
- Use the barrels, crates and the farmhouse wall to break line of sight with the gun-carrying mercenaries.
- Swap weapons with the mouse wheel to match the wave: close-range swarms and distant shooters need different tools.
- Keep moving with WASD; standing still in the open yard lets fast zombies surround you and drain your health bar.
