How to Play Only Up! Parkour
Movement is simple, the platforming is not. You run with WASD and jump with Space, lining up each hop onto whatever is drifting above you. The starting area is a walled garden with trees, a footpath and iron railings; from there the route turns vertical, built from park benches, cardboard boxes, angled planks and thin red rails suspended in mid-air.
A timer at the top of the screen counts up as you climb, so your run is measured by how long you have been going. Higher sections swap solid ground for moving platforms and rotating obstacles, and the gaps between footholds stretch out. Falling is the only real punishment — there is no safety net, so a bad jump can drop you past several layers you already cleared. Look up, pick your next landing spot before you leave the current one, and keep pushing toward the top.
Tips
- Stop moving before you jump onto a narrow beam or the thin red rail — running off the far edge is the most common way to lose height.
- Watch a moving platform through one full pass before committing, so you jump as it comes toward you rather than away.
- Aim for the middle of a bench or crate, not the corner; the low-poly edges give you less surface than they look like they do.
- Use the flat garden walls and gate pillars near the start to practise jump distance before the gaps get wide.
