How to Play JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Heritage for the Future
Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure is easy to pick up, offering a classic fighting game experience where two characters from the Jojo universe battle across various stages in two or three rounds until one is defeated. The game uses a straightforward four-button control system: three attack buttons (light, medium, and heavy) for punching and a Stand button to summon your Stand to fight alongside you.
Characters
The heart of Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure lies in its unique, vibrant characters, which contributed to its immense popularity. The game has over 16 playable characters, including iconic Part 3 Jojo heroes like:
- Jotaro
- Kakyoin
- Old Joseph
- Avdol
- Polnareff
- Iggy
- Dio
In addition, some lesser-known characters from Stardust Crusaders are also available to play, including:
- Chaka
- Alessi
- Midler
- Devo the Cursed
Game Modes
- Story Mode follows the Part 3 manga storyline, with special cutscenes and unique battles based on the character you choose
- Challenge Mode tests players across 10 single-round matches using only a single health bar, with the option to recover health or charge up a powerful Super Combo gauge after every match.
Tips, Tricks & Strategies
Adjust the Controls
The default controls are quite hard to navigate, especially if you’re not a retro game player. Thankfully, you can change the controls by hovering on the bottom left of the screen. Click on “Controls Settings”, then press the keyboard controls. Press in the keyboard the control you would like to swap the default with, and then press “Update” when done.
Understand Your Stand
Every Jojo fan knows that most Jojo characters are Stand users. Think of a Stand as a separate entity with bizarre abilities, greatly altering each character’s fighting style. Use the “X” button to toggle your Stand on and off and control the battle flow.
Mix and Match
Learn the right time to use your Stand. Switch between Stand ON when you want to reach a longer range and deal stronger attacks, and Stand OFF when you want to move more quickly and fight traditional-style.
Use Tandem Attacks
Tandem Attacks allow your Stand to perform powerful combos independently while you control its Stand User or your character. These can be a bit complex to trigger but can deal massive damage when executed properly.
