How to Play Parkour Craft Noob Steve
You control the character from behind in a third-person view, steering with WASD while the mouse swings the camera so you can line up the next block. A timer runs at the top of the screen in minutes, seconds and thousandths, so every level doubles as a time trial on top of a jumping test.
The routes are built from pale blue-green ice slabs of very different sizes. Some sections are broad platforms you can walk around on, others narrow into a line of small cubes with water between them, and a few blocks sit higher than the one you are standing on. Judge the distance, point the camera where you want to go, then press Space to jump across.
Each level finishes at a portal. Work through all 8 of them to complete the game.
Tips
- Swing the camera with the mouse before you jump so you are facing the next block squarely — side-on leaps over the narrow single-cube stretches are the easiest to misjudge.
- On the wide slabs, back up and take the gap from the middle of the platform rather than from the very edge.
- Watch for blocks set higher than your current one; approach those from as close as you can so the jump has less horizontal distance to cover.
- The timer shows thousandths of a second, so once you know a level's layout you can replay it and shave your best run down.
- Right-click the screen first to give the game focus, otherwise your keys and mouse look may not register.
