How to Play Mini Tennis Club
Matches play out from a camera set behind your player, looking down the court at your opponent on the far side. You steer your character left and right along the baseline to line up with the incoming ball, then swing as it arrives. A shadow marker on the court shows where the ball will land, which is your cue for how far to run and when to commit to the shot.
The rally continues until someone fails to return, and the score on the back wall ticks over — the frames show it climbing from 0-0 to 2-0. When the match is one point from finishing, a MATCHPOINT banner sweeps across the screen before the deciding rally. Courts vary in surface and colour, with a red-walled clay arena and a blue-walled court with pink and terracotta paint. The distributor notes you can compete against other players and unlock new characters, and suggests practising your shots before entering a tournament.
Tips
- Watch the shadow marker under the ball instead of the ball itself — it tells you where to stand before the ball gets there.
- Start moving as soon as your opponent swings; the court is short, so a late start leaves you reaching.
- Return to a central position after each shot so you can cover both sides of the baseline.
- Stay calm when the MATCHPOINT banner appears — the rally plays the same as any other, so keep returning rather than forcing a winner.
