How to Play Football Brawl
Each match is a short face-off between your player and a named opponent — the scoreboard above the pitch shows both scores and a countdown timer, so goals have to come quickly. You slide left and right along the ground, jump, and swing at the ball with kick inputs when it comes near you or drops in front of your opponent's goal.
Two separate kick buttons and two special-skill buttons give you more than one way to hit the ball, and the game shows onscreen prompts for them at the start. Random powerups can appear during a match, and an emote system lets you react to your opponent after a goal. Scoring more than your rival in the time given wins the match, and winning lets you climb divisions and unlock rewards.
Tips
- Watch the match timer on the scoreboard — with only a short countdown, a 1-0 lead late is worth defending near your own goal.
- Try both kick buttons: H and J are separate kicks, so learn which one suits a bouncing ball and which suits a ground pass.
- Save your K and L special skills for moments when the ball is loose in front of the opponent's net rather than firing them at random.
- Jumping lifts you off the ground, which can also put your body between the ball and your own goal line.
