How to Play Air Hockey Cup
Each match puts your blue tokens and the opponent's flag tokens on a top-down rink with a goal at either end. You shoot a token to send it skidding across the ice, using it to strike the puck or to shove rival discs out of the lane. There is no free skating: every move is a flick, so the puck travels through ricochets and clean contacts rather than dribbling.
The scoreboard at the top shows your name on the left, the opponent's country on the right, the goal tally for both sides, and a countdown between them that starts around the 1:41 mark in the frames. Put the puck in the far net to add a goal; beat the clock with more goals than the other team and you take the match.
Victories carry you further into the league and toward tournament play, and the money you earn can be spent on token upgrades, rings or different starting formations for later rounds.
You can pause at any point with the button in the top-left corner.
Tips
- Hitting the puck straight is not always best — the boards along the sides bounce it, so bank shots can reach the net when opponents block the middle.
- Use a shot to nudge an enemy token off the goal mouth when a direct path is crowded; clearing space matters as much as scoring.
- Watch the countdown: if you are level late in the match, prioritise shots that put the puck near the opposing goal rather than deep clearances.
- Bank your prize money on token upgrades or a formation that suits your style before entering tougher league rounds.
