How to Play Kick Off
The ball falls toward the bottom of the pitch, and your job is to get under it. Drag the player character with the mouse; the moment the player touches the ball, the ball bounces away. Angle and timing decide where it goes, so a hit slightly off-centre sends the ball diagonally instead of straight up the field.
Points come from bouncing the ball into the net at the top. The scoreboard in the bottom-left corner shows your goal count next to a small goal icon, and it ticks up as you convert. The three soccer-ball icons on the bottom-right are your remaining chances — one disappears each time the ball drops below the lower edge of the screen. Frame one shows a burst of confetti across the pitch after a goal, then play resets and the ball drops in again. Keep the rally alive long enough and the goals stack up until your last ball is gone.
Tips
- Get under the ball early rather than chasing it — the bounce is cleaner when the player is already in position.
- Hit the ball slightly to one side to steer it diagonally; centre hits send it straight back up the pitch.
- Watch the bottom edge more than the goal. A missed shot costs nothing, but a drop costs one of your three balls.
- Use the whole width of the pitch — the ball can travel toward the sidelines, so drift across instead of camping in the middle.
- Line the player up under the goal mouth for a short, controlled tap when the ball is already high near the net.
