FootyZag turns football down to one decision: pass left or pass right. You move the ball up the pitch between your own players while opponents stand in the way, and a single pass into enemy feet ends the run. Rounds are numbered — the first frames show Round 1/19, Footballers vs. Hipsters — and it plays free in your browser, in portrait, on desktop or mobile.

How to Play FootyZag
The pitch scrolls vertically in a simple cartoon style: your shirted player holds the ball at the bottom, and ahead of you stand a mix of teammates in your kit and opponents in theirs. Click or tap the left or right half of the screen, or use the left and right arrow keys, to pass the ball or kick it in that direction.
Pick the side where a teammate is waiting. Send it toward an opposing player — the bearded hipster in the red check shirt, the headset-wearing gamer in yellow — and the move fails. Getting it right advances the ball and pushes you toward the next round.
Each round is introduced with a matchup card, like Footballers vs. Gamers, and the counter at the top left shows your score climbing as you keep the ball moving. Clearing levels unlocks more teams, and the distributor's copy describes 20 strange squads gathered to settle who is best.
Tips
- Read the shirts before you tap: teammates wear your kit, while the hipster, the gamer and the other odd squads are dressed nothing like you.
- Look at the player one row ahead rather than the ball — you only ever choose between the left lane and the right lane.
- Keep your finger or hand on one side of the screen so the next tap lands where you intend; mis-taps on a two-button game are what end runs.
- Treat every round card as a fresh read — new teams bring new outfits, so re-check who is on your side before the first pass.
