How to Play Euro Champ 2024
Each attempt starts with the ball travelling in from the side, and your job is to meet it and put it on target. Move the mouse to line the strike up; placing the pointer low around the player's legs sends the ball higher, so you can lift it over the defensive wall. Aim too flat and the wall blocks it.
The scoreboard along the top shows both national sides, the running clock and the score, plus the distance of the current attempt in metres — the frames show kicks from 19 and 22 metres, so the angle and the keeper's position change from one set piece to the next. Defenders line up in front of you as a human wall, sometimes with your own teammates mixed in to break it up.
Progress runs through four knockout games. Win your way past all of them and you finish as the Euro champion; there is also a practice setting to warm up your aim before the elimination run.
Tips
- Watch the metres reading before you strike — a 19-metre kick needs far less lift than one from 22 metres.
- Keep the pointer near the striker's legs when a full wall is set, so the ball clears the jumping defenders.
- Look at where the keeper is standing; the frames show him committing to a dive, so the far side of the goal often opens up.
- Use practice mode first to learn how mouse height translates into ball height before starting the knockout games.
