How to Play Dream Football Game

Matches start from the centre circle with a kick-off. You steer the highlighted player — marked by a red arrow above his head in the frames — using WASD or the arrow keys, and tap K to sprint when you need to pull away from a defender or chase a loose ball. The camera follows the ball from a raised angle, so you can see teammates spread across the striped turf ahead of you.

Moving the ball is a choice between two passes: N plays a short ball to a nearby teammate, and M sends a long ball further upfield. When you get inside the box, press Space to shoot; the frames show the keeper coming off his line to narrow the angle, so the shot you take from the edge of the six-yard box matters. The scoreboard at the top keeps both scores and the running match time.

Play continues as the clock counts up, so the aim is simply to finish with more goals than the opposition.

Tips

  1. Hold sprint with K only in open space — bursts down the wing work better than sprinting while surrounded by defenders.
  2. Use M for a long ball when your teammates are bunched near the far penalty area, and N for quick short exchanges around the centre circle.
  3. Wait until the keeper commits and steps off his line before pressing Space, so you can aim past him rather than straight at him.
  4. Watch the scoreboard clock at the top of the screen so you know how much time you have left to chase a goal.
