How to Play Basketball.io
Each round starts with a VS screen pitting your player against a named rival, then drops you both onto the court. The on-screen prompt spells out the goal: take the ball off the opponent and dunk it to score. You move your player around the court in any direction, and the trail behind you shows the path you just cut across the floor.
Once you have the ball, the game marks the hoop with an arrow and tells you to go on and dunk. Defenders stand between you and the rim, so the prompt to avoid opponents means picking a line that keeps you clear of them on the way in. You can also shield teammates from the opposing player if you'd rather play the support role.
Win a match and you advance through the bracket — eight final, quarter final, semi-final, final — with the championship at the end. Scores can be compared against other players' ranks.

- The prompt tells you when the opponent has appeared — close the gap and go for the steal rather than waiting in your half.
- When the green arrow marks the hoop, take the widest lane you can instead of running straight at a defender standing in the paint.
