How to Play Winter Craft
You move around a first-person world made of cubes: snow-capped stone, dirt and wood layers sit under a pale winter sky. Point at a block and a white outline shows which cube you are targeting. Left click breaks that block, right click places the one you are holding, so digging a pit or raising a tower are the same two actions repeated.
Press E to open the inventory grid, which holds material types such as snow blocks, stone, brick, wood planks, sand and grass. Pick a block there and it goes into the hotbar slots along the bottom of the screen, ready to place. Because supplies never run out, the loop is simple: choose a material, carve out space, then fill it back in with whatever you want to build — a shelter cut into a hillside, a bridge over a trench, or an entire settlement across the snowfield.
Tips
- Aim at the edge of a block and check the white outline before clicking, so you break the cube you meant to break.
- Dig downwards into the dirt layer to make a quick sheltered room, then cap it with snow blocks from above.
- Load a few different materials into the hotbar slots first — switching there is faster than reopening the inventory mid-build.
- Flatten a patch of snow into a level platform before starting a big structure; even ground makes walls line up neatly.
- Use contrasting materials like brick or wood planks against the white snow so your build reads clearly from a distance.
