How to Play Block World
The view is first person, with your arm and tool in the lower part of the screen and a small crosshair in the middle. Aim the crosshair at a block face and a black outline appears on the square you are targeting — that outline tells you exactly which cube will be removed or where the next one will land.
Pick a material from the numbered row along the top of the screen. The nine slots hold different surfaces seen in the frames: dirt, grass-topped turf, dark and light stone, a stone block, a door panel, and leafy green blocks. Left click clears the highlighted block, right click places the one you have selected.
From there the loop is simple: carve into the terraced hillsides to open tunnels and pits, or stack blocks upward to raise walls, towers and platforms. When you are done, the Quit Game button sits in the top-left corner.
Tips
- Watch for the black square outline before you click — it confirms which face you are about to dig or build on, so you do not gouge a hole in the wrong spot.
- Dig into the natural step-like terraces in the terrain; the existing height changes make quick walls and stairs without much block placing.
- Use the numbered keys instead of clicking the bar so you can swap between stone and grass blocks without taking your aim off the target.
- Stone and the door panel block stand out against all the green, so save them for edges and entrances you want to spot from a distance.
