How to Play Sausage Run
Hold down the mouse button or keep your finger on the screen to make your sausage speed up. Let go and it slows, which is how you time your way past hazards. The course is a thin runway suspended over open water or a lava field, so anything that knocks you sideways is a problem.
Obstacles come in waves: padded paddles that swing across the lane, rows of yellow hammers that pound down on the track, pools of purple goo, and narrow bridges with no railing. Other sausages run the same course beside you, and a marker labelled "You" shows which one you are controlling in the crowd. The bar at the top of the screen, with a sausage icon at one end and a checkered flag at the other, shows your progress along the level.
Stars appear on the track as rewards to pick up while you run. Cross the checkered ring at the end to complete the run, then push for a better result on the next attempt.
Tips
- Release your hold for a moment before a swinging paddle reaches the lane, then hold again to burst through the gap.
- The rows of yellow hammers strike in a rhythm — watch one full cycle before committing to the sprint.
- Sausages that get bumped off the narrow bridges land in the water or lava, so keep to the middle of the runway when the track has no edges.
- Grab the stars only when they are already on your line; detouring for them near a moving hazard costs more than it earns.
- Check the bar at the top to see how much course is left — if you are close to the flag, a full-speed hold is worth the risk.
