How to Play Red and Green 3
Each player takes one character: red and green start as small pixel figures on the lower ground and work their way across a stack of grassy platforms. One set of keys moves the red man, the other moves the green man, so both of you are steering at the same time on one screen.
Candies are the pickups — the frames show red and green gem-shaped sweets sitting on ledges, under overhangs and out on exposed stretches of ground. Grabbing them adds to your points, so most of the level is about working out which jumps and drops get you to the ones tucked away on higher terraces.
Lasers are the hazard to watch. Keep an eye on the layout while you climb, and use the pause button in the top-left corner if you need to stop and talk through a route with the other player. Clear a chapter and the next one opens up, ten in total.
Tips
- Scan the whole screen before moving — candies sit on the tall middle terraces as well as the ground floor, and the climb usually starts from one end of the map.
- Use the pause button in the top-left when the two of you need to agree on a route.
- Lasers are the thing to avoid, so approach unfamiliar stretches slowly rather than sprinting into them.
- Two players share one screen, so keep both characters roughly in the same area to avoid one of you being stuck off at an edge.
