How to Play Mahjong Magic Islands
Each level shows a small stack of mahjong tiles — bamboo sticks, circle flowers and painted figure tiles — arranged in short rows and overlapping layers on a tall vertical board. Click or tap one tile, then its twin, and the pair leaves the board. Keep going until every tile is gone.
The HUD along the top tracks a score number with a multiplier badge beside it, a progress bar, and three stars you can earn on the level. Tiles sitting under others become available as you strip the layers above them, so the stack gradually unpacks from the top down.
Finish a board and the result screen appears: stars across the top, a treasure chest bursting open with coins, and a row of reward icons. From there you press Next to continue, or use the round replay button to take the level again.
Tips
- Scan the whole vertical board before your first tap — matches are often spread between the top row and the tiles near the bottom.
- Clear tiles that are covering others when you have a choice, so you keep opening up new options instead of stranding buried pairs.
- Look closely at the circle-flower tiles: several designs look similar at a glance, so check the pattern count before committing to a pair.
- If a board ends badly, use the replay button on the result screen to run it again rather than moving on.
