How to Play 3D Air Racer

You control the plane from a chase camera set just behind the tail, so you see the canyon walls closing in on either side as you fly. Steering is done with either the mouse or the arrow keys, with A and D working the rudder for tighter side-to-side adjustments.

The goal in each level is to pass through the rings laid out along the route. The HUD in the bottom-left corner shows your time alongside a ring counter — the frames show it at 1/11 and 2/11, so you can see at a glance how many rings are left in the course. Later planes unlock as you make progress, and keys 1, 2 and 3 trigger tricks with them.

With 20 levels to finish, the courses run through gaps between rock outcrops and low over sand, so lining up early for the next ring matters more than raw speed.

Tips

  1. Pick one input and stick with it — mixing mouse steering and arrow keys mid-run makes lining up rings harder than it needs to be.
  2. Use A and D for small course corrections; save the mouse or arrows for bigger turns around rock outcrops.
  3. Watch the ring counter in the bottom-left HUD so you know how much of the course is left.
  4. Try tricks with the planes you unlock once a course feels familiar, rather than while you are still learning the ring layout.
