How to Play Tanks 1944

Choose a tank and drive into the field. The objective banner is blunt: destroy all enemies. Two bars at the top of the screen track the battle — a red Enemies bar and a blue Allies bar, both starting at 50 — so you can see at a glance whether your side is winning the attrition fight.

Combat is about the shot, not the spray. Line up the small crosshair on an enemy hull, allow for distance and the shell's travel, and fire. The left side of the HUD shows your armour value and a reload indicator that climbs back toward full after each round, so every miss costs you time. Enemy tanks carry health bars above them, which makes it easy to tell a damaged target from a fresh one.

You can switch between a third-person view behind the turret and a gun-sight view looking down the barrel. The minimap in the top right plots friendly and hostile markers around you, useful when fog and treelines hide targets that the map already shows.

Tips

1. Watch the reload indicator on the left of the HUD and only break cover when it is near full — firing on an empty gauge leaves you exposed.
2. Aim at the enemy hull rather than the sky above it; shells drop over distance, so fire slightly high on far targets.
3. Check the minimap constantly. Hostile markers show up there even when fog and trees hide the tanks themselves.
4. Pick off tanks whose health bars are already chewed down by your allies to bring the enemy counter down faster.
5. Keep moving between shots. Sitting still in open grass makes you an easy ranging target for several enemy guns at once.
