How to Play Jet Fighter Pacific War
Each mission starts you airborne over open water with a ring-shaped radar in the top-left corner. A red blip on the radar shows where the enemy is; an on-screen prompt tells you to follow it, so you bank and climb until the contact appears ahead of you. The HUD counters at the top of the screen track your kills against the mission total (1/2, 3/4 and so on), a second numeric readout, and coins collected.
Combat happens at close range. Put the enemy plane inside the green reticle in the middle of the cockpit view and hold fire — tracer lines and projectiles streak out from your jet, and hits show up as bright flashes and smoke on the target. You can switch weapons and swap between the cockpit view and an external chase camera behind the tail. Clearing the required targets brings up the victory screen with buttons to continue to the next mission or replay the current one.
Tips
- Keep one eye on the radar ring: the red blip tells you which way to turn before the enemy is ever on screen.
- Switch to the external chase camera when you lose track of a target — the wider view makes it easier to see planes above or behind your wing.
- Turn early rather than hard. Enemies cross your gunsight fast, so start the bank while the blip is still off to one side.
- Watch the kill counter at the top of the screen so you know how many targets are left before the mission ends.
- Stay clear of the water and the mountain ridges while chasing low-flying targets.
- Use the victory screen's restart option to replay a mission and improve your run.
