How to Play Poppy Playtime Survival
You move through the factory in first person, opening what you can and looking for the way forward. Rooms are gated: a green door needs the right key, another mechanism opens only when you press a palm-shaped button, and some doors want a code you piece together by spotting coloured toys around the level. Frames show you carrying a found key straight up to a padlocked green door, which is the basic rhythm — search, pick up, use.
Green cassettes and yellow tape are scattered from the first room onward. Play them on the TVs and DVD players you find to learn background on the factory and how the tools work. Early on you get a wearable toy with two hands that stretch, letting you grab items sitting out of reach or too high to touch.
From the second area on, the blue long-limbed toy with the red smile starts hunting you — one frame catches it crouched inside a cupboard. You can walk, crouch, run and grab, and the game is split into chapters that get harder as you go.
