How to Play Dino Island Rampage
You move with WASD and aim with the mouse, working across sandy shallows, grassy hills and snow-capped ridges. The objective text in the top-right tells you how many dinosaurs to kill — it ticks up as you clear targets, from "Kill 1 Dinosaurs" onward. Two readouts frame the bottom of the screen: your health on the left, starting at 100, and your ammo on the right, shown as clip rounds over reserve, such as 6 / 900.
Dinosaurs approach from open ground, so most shots are at mid range with the crosshair centred. When the clip hits 0 / 900 you press R and your hands cycle the magazine before you can fire again — a raptor closing in during that animation is what gets you killed. Get hit at close range and the screen washes red at the edges while your health drops. Jump with Space to get over terrain, scroll the mouse wheel to swap to another weapon once you have one, and P pauses.
Tips
- Reload the moment a fight ends rather than waiting for the clip to empty — the magazine animation leaves you defenceless.
- Keep dinosaurs at distance across the open beach and grassland; the red screen edges mean one is already on top of you.
- Watch the ammo reserve, not just the clip — the number after the slash is all you have left to draw from.
- Use Space to hop the shoreline and low rises so a charging dinosaur loses its straight line to you.
- Check the kill objective in the corner to know how many targets are still coming before you commit to a reload.
