How to Play Zombie Escape: Horror Factory
You control a single survivor seen from above, lit only by a narrow flashlight cone. Everything outside that beam stays dark, so moving through the factory means feeling your way along corridors, ramps and open yards where small fires burn in the distance.
Walk onto a generator and a green wrench prompt appears — the on-screen label tells you to repair it. A counter at the bottom left of the screen tracks how many generators are still broken, starting at 5, and the portraits stacked down the left edge show your team of survivors. Repair every generator on the list and the escape door opens.
The game also feeds you audio warnings as text on screen, such as a note that you heard heavy footsteps. Treat those messages as information about what's nearby while you decide whether to keep working or move on.
