You ride in first person: the blue-and-black "Super Cycle" handlebars fill the bottom of the screen, and everything above them is the trail. WASD handles the pedalling and steering, Space is your brake, and C swaps the camera if you want a different angle on the bike.
Yellow arrow signs stand beside the track and point the way the route turns, so use them to read the next section before you reach it. The ground changes constantly — packed dirt paths, cracked earth, long yellow grass and slopes that run up toward the ridgelines — and clipping a bare tree or a fallen log can dump the bike onto its side, which is exactly what the grass-and-branches close-up frame shows after a spill.
Get back up, line the bike back onto the trail and keep working through the offroad locations.
